What Is Authenticum?

One of our region’s most distinguished Catholic Lecture series, Authenticum is a joint project of Sacred Heart Parish and Catechetical Foundations, a local Catholic organization dedicated to training catechists and building authentic Catholic culture.

Most lectures take place the first Thursday of the month, August through May (with a few exceptions such as December.)

Authenticum begins with a wine and cheese social at 6:30 pm, and continues with talks by important Catholic thinkers at 7:00pm Convivial discussion continues after the lectures and usually lasts well into the evening. Recent speakers have included Anthony Esolen, Father John Zuhlsdorf, Patrick Deneen, Duncan Stroik, Dennis Marshall, Father Robert Sirico, Jared Ortiz, John Pinheiro, Father Aaron Ferris, and Mark Pestana.

Authenticum is a free event and recordings of previous talks are available for streaming on YouTube and at Catechetical Foundations.
