If your child asked, “What is a spirit?” would you be able to answer? Is it the same thing as a soul? And what do we mean when we say that God is everywhere? In fact, how do the truths of our faith really apply to our daily living? In our next study on Theology For Beginners, Frank Sheed will help sweep away, what is for many, the intimidation of Theology and help us really see the deeper meaning of the truths our our Catholic Christian Faith. You will share in the joy and excitement of theological discovery as you move through the pages of his book. This will be a very stimulating study for anyone, and perfect for those who may consider themselves “beginners” in the knowledge of the Faith. Please join us!

What does your relationship with Christ look like? Do you see Jesus as simply a great teacher? A prophet? A man of great wisdom? Or do you see him as more? Jesus calls us to be more than simply believers—he calls us to be his disciples and his friends. Do you consider yourself a disciple and friend of Christ? The Gospel of John shows us that God became like us; he became a man so that we could become like him and grow closer to him. Follow Me: Meeting Jesus in the Gospel of John is your guide to a personal encounter with Christ. We will begin Follow Me on Tuesday, January 29 at 7:00 pm. For more information or to register, contact Bettie McClintic @ email@example.com or call the Parish Office at 616-459-8362.

St. Ignatius Prayer Group “Abide In Me”
John 15:5 Jesus says “ I am the vine, you are the branches, he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.”
“Abide In Me” is a prayer group that meets once a week on Wed 1:00 pm, or 7:00 pm. We use the Eight Themes from St. Ignatius Spiritual Exercises, as we listen to God at a deeper level. He is speaking to us each day, and desires to bless us with abundant graces. Praying this method helps us to see His handiwork a bit clearer in our daily life. If you would like to find out more, please call Annie Connette 616-970-5802.
SPIRITUAL DIRECTION: If a group setting is not for you, I am also available for individual spiritual direction.
