Mom’s Mornings

Home / Mom’s Mornings

These popular events are open to our youngest moms and those moms who are really in the thick of raising a family. They are held randomly once or twice throughout the year on Saturday mornings from 8-11. The day includes an opportunity for Mass, breakfast, a talk, and chances for questions and networking. Coffee, tea, and joy are always flowing. Moms have a chance to relax and sink into their Catholic vocations, leaving refreshed and ready to return home to nurture the growing souls God has placed in their midst. Topics are pertinent to the immediate demands of motherhood, such as tried and true resources, dealing with real life, how to talk to children about certain topics, how best to appreciate their husbands, or where they might find time for God in their busy lives.

The retreat itself includes two parts: a working breakfast with catechetical and scriptural teachings, followed by a practical nitty-gritty lesson exploring the challenges of motherhood. Watch the bulletin for advertisements on when/how to register for these events.

Organizer and speaker: Mary Jo Thayer, well-seasoned mom and new grandmother.
